At Leadership Academy of Virginia, our micro-school model focuses on small, multi-age "huddles" (typically 10–15 students) rather than large, age-segregated classrooms. This intimate setting allows us to provide:

• Hyper-Personalized Learning: We honor each child’s unique "spark" by allowing them to master subjects at their own pace, rather than moving at the speed of a standardized test.
• Deep Community: Because we are small, every student is seen, heard, and valued. We function like a family, where older students naturally mentor younger ones.
• Real-World Agility: Our size gives us the freedom to take learning beyond the desk—whether that’s in our 8x10 garden lab, during our "Explore & Discover" Fridays, or through community service projects.

At Leadership Academy of Virginia, we believe that technology can enhance the learning experience and prepare students for the digital world. We have state-of-the-art computer labs, iPads for student use, and a variety of educational software and online resources.

We believe that homework should be purposeful and meaningful, and not overwhelming for students. Our teachers assign homework based on the needs of their students and communicate regularly with parents about the amount and type of homework assigned.

We have a team of dedicated professionals who work with students with special needs to ensure that they receive the support they need to succeed. This includes individualized education plans, accommodations in the classroom, and access to specialized services such as speech therapy or counseling.
